Community Guidelines

Last updated: August 16, 2026

VibeChat is a general social and creator platform. Random 1-on-1 Video Chat is restricted to adults aged 18 and over, and minors must not use or access the restricted random video-chat feature. These Community Guidelines describe what is and isn’t allowed, and how we keep the community safe. By using VibeChat you agree to follow them, along with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)

VibeChat has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This is prohibited on VibeChat and may be illegal in your country:

  • Sharing, requesting, soliciting or attempting to obtain sexual content involving minors;
  • Using VibeChat to groom, contact or exploit children;
  • Sexual solicitation involving minors;
  • The sexualization of minors;
  • Sextortion involving minors;
  • Sharing links to CSAM or materials that facilitate child sexual abuse and exploitation.

We will remove such content immediately, permanently ban the accounts involved, and report confirmed cases to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional authority, in accordance with applicable law. To report a concern, use the in-app report feature or email our child-safety point of contact at support@vibechat.co.ke.

Prohibited content and behavior

  • Sexual content: No sexually explicit content, nudity, sexual solicitation, or showing explicit content during video calls. VibeChat is a general social platform, not an adult-content service.
  • Harassment and bullying: No harassment, threats, doxxing, stalking or coordinated abuse.
  • Hate speech: No hate speech or content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.
  • Violence and dangerous behavior: No content promoting terrorism, violence, self-harm, dangerous activities or instructions for illegal acts.
  • Impersonation and spam: No impersonation, fraud, phishing or spam.
  • Privacy violations: Don’t share others’ personal information without consent (including in video chat).
  • Malware: No distributing malware, viruses or executable files.

Video chat conduct

Random 1-on-1 Video Chat connects you with another registered VibeChat user and is not anonymous: your account name and profile are shown to the person you meet. It is restricted to adults aged 18 and over. Your camera and microphone stay off until you turn them on. Never show explicit content, and never try to contact someone outside the app against their wishes. If someone makes you uncomfortable, end the call, and use Report (which also blocks the user) or Block.

How we moderate

You can report posts, comments, messages, profiles/users and video-chat sessions using the in-app report button. Reports may include details you provide and, where supported, evidence such as screenshots that you voluntarily attach; this evidence may be reviewed by authorized moderators. When we confirm a violation we may remove content, issue a warning, suspend or permanently ban the account, or block users, and we may refer serious violations to law enforcement. We do not claim that every report automatically results in removal, and we do not continuously monitor every private conversation or video call.

Appeals and support

If your account was suspended or banned, your content was removed, you believe a moderation action was incorrect, or you need assistance with a safety issue, contact us at support@vibechat.co.ke or via our Contact & Support page. Include the email address (or username) linked to your account and a short explanation. We review appeals carefully; not every appeal results in restoration.
